I am so grateful to have met Carmella and she has helped my son so much! She immediately developed wonderful rapport with him as well as his school teachers and us! She listened to everyone’s concerns and came up with a plan that advocated for my son’s needs while also being respectful of the school’s needs. As a pediatrician and experienced mother, I thought I knew what I was doing as a parent. But our third child threw me for a loop – she struggled with speech but also with rigidity and some sensory issues. The director of her preschool suggested Carmella may be able to help and within 1 hour of observing T, Carmella had her actively engaged in a game with a few other children in her group – a first for our daughter! Carmella ultimately helped our daughter for over 2 years, through preschool and summer camp. Carmella always knew just how to push T to acquire that next needed skill and was a diligent and thorough communicator with the entire team of teachers/therapists/parents. Whenever Carmella and I spoke, she had such valuable insights for me into T’s academic, social, and emotional needs, including tips on how to best advocate for her during the IEP process. Our daughter is now thriving in elementary school. We are so grateful to have worked with Carmella and wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent whose child could use some extra support.

Carmella worked as my son’s SEIT during his pre-k school year. He used to call her “my Carmella”! The support she gave to my son, his teachers, and to us as parents was exceptional. My husband and I feel very fortunate that Carmella came into our lives. She has helped our son in such a tremendous way, it is hard to encapsulated in a short paragraph. Carmella has been my sons SEIT in school and at home for the last two years. When she first met J, at age three, he had serious sensory issues, struggled to communicate thoughts and feelings properly, could not engage in age-appropriate activities with classmates and struggled to make proper eye contact. There was a small question about whether or not these issues would be lasting. With Carmella’s help, expertise, care, patience and amazing advice, our son has seen great gains. J has made so much progress in these last two years. We are certain that Carmella played an integral role in making that happen. I would highly recommend Carmella to anyone in need of support for their child.

I love working with Carmella. I am a “regular ed” teacher of three year olds in an early childhood center in lower Westchester. Carmella Crowley has worked in my classroom for many years. Her ability to determine children’s needs and help them is extraordinary. She works tirelessly to integrate the child, her client, socially with their classmates and provides tremendous support to the child academically. She works collaboratively with the classroom teacher to ensure a seamless and complete education for the child. My own teaching practice has been greatly enhanced with Carmella’s presence in my room. Carmella Crowley is a wonderful educator who really “gets” kids. As a former early childhood director, I had the privilege of watching her work with many children in my program and was amazed at the progress they made with her support. As a parent of a child with social anxiety, I hired Carmella to work with my son. She quickly understood his needs and began to help him right away. In just a few sessions, my son gained confidence and began to socialize with friends. Carmella is one of the most talented special educators in the field. She is invested in professional and personal growth, always upping her game and learning new techniques to help children.
