Kindergarten expectations have become increasingly academic over the last few years. Getting a good start on basic reading and readiness skills will build a strong foundation, reduce school anxiety, build confidence and help instill an early love for learning. Hands on sessions would include play based games, children’s literature and sensory integration.
Sessions would focus on:
Letter recognition
Identifying sounds associated with letters using fundations reading program
Pre-writing & writing skills using handwriting without tears
Number recognition and counting
Critical thinking
Cutting skills and pencil grasp
Predict outcomes and ask and answer questions about a story
K-2nd grade – trained in fundations.
Fundations reading instruction is a multi-sensory systematic approach that is engaging to all learners and engages all parts of the brain. Sessions are fun and muti-sensory.
